Breast Coordinator

ImageCare is seeking a skilled and organized Breast Imaging Coordinator to assist our healthcare team with performing various administrative tasks and responsibilities including greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails as needed, scheduling follow up appointments as needed, and updating and filing patients’ medical records on EMR and/or on site as pertinent to patients’ needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Track and manage all BI-RADS 4 and 5 recommendations and patients through all levels of care.

2. Collect and maintain all relevant records and information from the mammography portal.

3. Maintain the quality control records for all breast imaging reports.

4. Complete all breast imaging requests, both internal and external.

5. Manage breast imaging call backs based on BI-RADS, risk assessments, or physician recommendations.

6. Additional Support:

  • Act as the Liaison between the radiologists, technologists, patients, and prescribing providers
  • Act as the primary person to manage all prior studies within the PACS
  • Assist the technologists in matching the work list and correcting errors
  • Serve as the point of contact for all breast imaging related questions from the call center, front desk, and prescribing providers
  • Investigate and manage all breast imaging related issues to conclusion
  • Push reports through PACS as needed.

PREFERRED

  • Can be trained on the job.
  • 1+ years in a medical office
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology
  • Previous experience in specific medical field preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Computer and office skills including knowledge of patient management software, presentation software, spreadsheets, word processing, fax, copying, 10-key adding machine, and multi-line phone system. CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge and management supervisory skills and the ability to train staff in their respective duties. The ability to maintain confidentiality for all patient, staff and clinic records.

Travel between facilities within the ImageCare MSO system may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
