- Reduced Alcohol Consumption
Do you enjoy a gin and tonic on a Saturday night? Do you like to relax with a beer after work? You don’t have to cut out alcohol altogether. However, it’s important to know that the less you drink, the lower your risk of breast cancer. You’ve got significantly more chance of developing cancer if you drink more than 3 alcoholic beverages per day compared with non-drinkers.
Try to keep your alcohol intake to a minimum to keep your breasts healthy.
- Better Sleep
You probably don’t realize how important getting enough sleep can be for your overall health.
Going to bed late and waking up early can significantly damage your health over time. In particular, women often suffer from lack of sleep. And yet, experts say that women need even more sleep than men do. The average woman needs up to 20 minutes more sleep than the average man. You’ve got to get a regular bedtime and waking time.
Make sure you’re getting between 7 and 9 hours per night of sleep to optimize your resilience against the onset of breast cancer.
- Manage Your Mental Health

Your mental health can hugely affect whether you’re at risk of developing breast cancer. For example, stress can be an important risk factor in the development of breast cancer among women. You need to practice ways of improving your mental health. This can range from a wide range of lifestyle and health things. However, you can also start to practice either yoga or mindfulness.
