ImageCare Centers provides interventional radiology services in New Jersey. These minimally invasive, image-guided procedures are used to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases and conditions while associated with fewer risks and shorter recovery times. During an interventional radiology procedure, tiny instruments such as small needles, guide wires, and catheters are guided through the skin and blood vessels to treat the cause of a medical condition directly.
Interventional radiology detects and treats many diseases and conditions, from cancer and heart disease to varicose veins and kidney stones. Because interventional radiology has made open surgery unnecessary for conditions that used to require it, this practice has become an integral part of medical care. Interventional radiology patients benefit from reduced risks, shorter – or no – hospital stays, lower cost than open surgery, greater comfort, quicker convalescence, and a quicker return to work and other aspects of their daily lives. Additionally, the effectiveness of these procedures is often better than traditional treatments.
Since interventional radiology has replaced open surgery under applicable circumstances, our patients experience less pain, less recovery time, and less risk associated with open surgery. Whether a patient needs interventional radiology for direct treatment through venous access or imaging guidance to direct a needle for biopsies, ImageCare Centers provide patients with the needed services.
Some conditions that interventional radiology is used to treat include:
Arteries
Veins
Non-Vascular Intervention
Stone Disease

The Venclose™ RF Ablation Catheter is the latest treatment option for endovenous radiofrequency (RF) ablation, the current standard of care for Chronic Venous Disease. This technology thermally coagulates a refluxing vein by delivering heat to the diseased vessel, which causes it to shrink.
UFE is a minimally invasive procedure that blocks the blood supply of fibroid tumors in the uterus, making them shrink. It is performed by inserting a thin tube into a blood vessel and injecting tiny particles to stop blood flow. It is effective for symptomatic fibroids and can be done without surgery or hospital stay. ( see video) Call us for more information or consultation with our intervention specialists. (973-810-8100)
